Privacy policy
How Triple Twist Publishing Ltd collects, uses and protects personal data on executeyourtechidea.com.
Last updated: 29 October 2026
Who we are and the words we use
This website, Execute Your Tech Idea, is run by Triple Twist Publishing Ltd, the publisher of the book by Andrew Ward. Triple Twist Publishing Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
Registered address: 13 Portland Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham, B16 9HN.
In this policy, “the Company”, “Triple Twist Publishing”, “Execute Your Tech Idea”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Triple Twist Publishing Ltd. “You” and “your” mean you, the person using this website or our products and services. Singular and plural, and he, she or they, are interchangeable. This policy is governed by the law of England and Wales.
Our commitment
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Information you give us is used only by authorised people within the Company, on a need-to-know basis. We review our systems and the data we hold regularly.
We will not sell, share or rent your personal information to any third party, and we will not use your email address for unsolicited mail. Any email we send you will only be in connection with something you asked us for.
Parliament has created specific offences for unauthorised actions against computer systems and data. We will investigate any such actions with a view to prosecuting and/or taking civil proceedings to recover damages against those responsible.
What we collect and why
We only collect personal data that you choose to give us through the forms on this site.
The contact form
The contact form asks for your name, your email address, an optional phone number and your message. When you press send, these are emailed to Andrew Ward so he can read and reply to your message. Your email address is set as the reply-to address, so a reply comes straight back to you.
Resource pack and advanced reader copy requests
The resource pack and advanced reader copy forms ask for your email address and, if you wish, your first name. We use them to:
- send you one email with what you asked for (the resource pack, or the link to claim a review copy on BookSprout); and
- send Andrew a short notice that you made the request, so he can follow up if the automatic email does not reach you.
You are not added to a mailing list or newsletter. The old version of this site used Mailchimp for these forms; this one does not.
Technical data
Like any website, ours receives technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, uses this to deliver the site, protect it from abuse and keep short-lived technical logs. We do not use it to identify you.
What we do not collect
- No database. The website itself stores nothing you send it. A form submission becomes an email and nothing else.
- No accounts or comments. The site no longer runs on WordPress, so there are no user accounts, no comments and no WordPress cookies.
- No captcha service. Spam is filtered with a hidden field that people never see and a check on how quickly the form was filled in. The old site used Google reCAPTCHA; this one does not, so your visit is not sent to Google for spam scoring.
- No payments. The book is sold through Amazon and Audible, not through this site.
Our legal bases
UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) requires us to have a lawful basis for each use of your data:
| What we do | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Reading and replying to a contact form message | Our legitimate interest in answering the people who write to us, or taking steps you have asked for before entering into an agreement with us |
| Sending the resource pack or the review copy link you asked for | Providing what you requested (legitimate interests) |
| Technical data used to deliver and protect the site | Our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website |
| Analytics cookies | Your consent (see Cookie Policy) |
| Disclosure to the authorities | Only where the law requires it |
Who handles your data for us
Your information is confidential and will not be passed to any third party other than the suppliers who run the site for us, and the appropriate authorities if we are legally required to disclose it. Our suppliers act on our instructions and are bound by their own data protection terms:
| Supplier | What they do | What they see |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Hosts the website (Cloudflare Workers) and protects it from attacks | Technical data about each visit; form submissions pass through on their way to MailerSend |
| MailerSend | Sends the emails the forms produce | The details you typed into the form, and the emails sent to you and to Andrew |
| Google (Tag Manager and Analytics) | Measures how the site is used | Usage data, as described in the Cookie Policy |
Some of these suppliers process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under UK law, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.
Embedded content and links
YouTube
The audiobook extract is a YouTube video. Until you press play we show only a still image of it, which your browser fetches from YouTube’s image server (i.ytimg.com). When you press play, the video loads from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, and from then on Google’s privacy policy applies.
Kindle instant preview
The home page includes Amazon’s Kindle instant preview of the book. It is an Amazon frame that loads only when you press “Load the Kindle preview”; after that, Amazon may set its own cookies and collect data under Amazon’s privacy notice.
Other websites
We link to Amazon, Audible, Goodreads, BookSprout, Scorchsoft and Epitomise, among others. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your data. Please read their policies before giving them any personal information.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics, which helps us understand how many people visit, which pages they read and how they found the site. Analytics data is reported to us in aggregate and is not used to identify you.
Our Cookie Policy lists the cookies the site sets, what each one is for and how to control or remove them.
How long we keep it
The website keeps nothing. Form emails are kept in Andrew’s inbox only for as long as needed to deal with your message or request and any follow-up, and are then deleted. MailerSend and Cloudflare keep delivery and technical logs for a limited period under their own retention policies. Analytics data is kept for the period set in Google Analytics, described in the Cookie Policy.
Security and confidentiality
The site is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and form submissions are accepted only from our own pages. Your records are regarded as confidential. Access to the emails the forms produce is limited to the people who need it to reply to you.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your data;
- ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our using it;
- ask for your data in a portable format; and
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it (for analytics cookies, see the Cookie Policy).
To use any of these rights, send a message through the contact form or write to us at Triple Twist Publishing Ltd, 13 Portland Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham, B16 9HN. We will reply within one month. There is normally no charge.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when the way we handle personal data changes, and change the date at the top. This version replaces the policy that applied to the previous WordPress version of the site.
